Environment-Consciousness

What do we mean by environment-consciousness?

“The Earth is what we all have in common"
Read that again as...“The Earth is what we ALL have in common".

Does that strike something in you?

In this whole galaxy of more than a billion stars, ALL we have is our planet Earth. At least for now, until Space X makes mars habitable at least :p
Also remember that will be an option only for the monetarily wealthy.

What about the majority of us - the 99% of us?
Where do we go once this is all gone?
Our tress? Money!
Our water? Filled with chemicals!
Our Air? Poisoned with harmful gases!
Where do we go? How do we go? Can we save it? Will it be too late?
So many questions arise!

Rather than talking about saving water, let us think before we pollute the water with chemical-laden sunscreen/shampoo/soap/cosmetics.

Rather than talking about recycling, let us pause and think before we buy that extra cloth/watch/shoe.

In that moment and at that time our action might seem like the right thing to do. But let us learn about where these products come from and at what cost. After being informed we can make a choice if we want to leave the Earth a little better or a little worse after us. You see, our next generation, our children will face the consequences of our actions. What happens if "What difference will one individual make?" ask 7.8 billion people....

Having said that we understand as individuals there is only so much one can do and see the importance of not creating damage at the source. Massive change is possible if large corporations come together to address these concerns for which it becomes all the more important for youth communities to come together... simply because we will have an answer and no regrets when our great grandchildren ask us "What did you do when you had a chance to slow down the damage?"

In the last few years we have been reading about climate change and other disturbing truths. It is now time to take a stand and work towards creating a more sustainable future for our own community, country and planet. After all, we have just one home!
